Located between Rudd and Charles City, this small steel stringer bridge crosses a field drainage near Lancer Avenue (County Road T38).
Built in 1902, the bridge consists of a short 16 foot long steel stringer span, set onto concrete substructures. Both the substructures and the superstructure appear to have been upgraded and repaired since the original construction.
It is unknown if the superstructure is the original 1902 span. It appears risers were installed under the steel span, possibly indicating the old bridge was a deck girder of some sort. It is possible an older span was replaced around 1930.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition. The interior bracings of the superstructure have been rehabilitated with high strength bolts.
The author has ranked this bridge as being minimally significant, due to the common design.
